"The mission of Sacred Heart Catholic School, in partnership with our families and church, is to assure that we demonstrate Christian values and academic excellence while actively learning about Christ."
"Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new."
- 2 Corinthians 5:17
Receiving the eucharist is a blessing I often take for granted. To recall the life of Christ, his sacrifice for us, and the new life He gave us is so incredibly powerful that it can be hard not to take it for granted. However, when first communion comes around and the children come to mass in the white gowns and suits filled with excitement, the power of the Eucharist is impossible to ignore. I become emotional every time that I experience the gift of communion with a child for the first time. It reminds me of my own failings and the amazing gift that God gave us.
I pray that we all take the time to remember this gift and to embrace the grace that comes with it. Congratulations to those students who participated fully in the mass for the first time, and prayers to those who continue to prepare. Our hearts are truly made new when we welcome God into our hearts, our minds, and our souls.
God is Good!

Sacred Heart School Virtual Scholastic Book Fair
May 1st - May 14th
In the absence of a regular book fair this year, we will be hosting a virtual book fair beginning May 1st. The link was shared yesterday where you can see the books available and place an order. Orders will ship directly to your house and are free for orders over $25. Additionally, all students will have the opportunity to purchase a book on the school Library! Students will pick from a list of books in their classrooms. This is a great way to get some good reading material for the summer!
